I
raced at the Reading, PA
Hobby Town this weekend. (July/4th/2010) They ran a cash race on the 3rd. I
qualified 5th in buggy.
It
was real hot and the track went from very dusty and loose to slippery and wet
after they soaked the track after each round. So you started with decent grip
and ended up dry and loose.
The buggy A main was a 30 minute race and I opted for my Exergon blue (these are
still my original set. I bought on Apr of this year, I can not believe how many
race weekends these have them and still work great) knowing the track would end
up loose and loamy the last 15 minutes. My plan going in was to stay smooth,
keep it on 4 wheels and capitalize on others mistakes to have a chance to hang
with SCHREFF and RUPP at the end. I ended up winning the race 4 laps ahead of
second place. Took me 1 year and 2 months to get my first win. On sweep tires
that are at least 6/7 race weekends old!!!!
I
also won the truggy A main sweeping the 1/8th scales nitro classes bringing home
$168.So not only did i get my first win but i pulled out a double!!! Thanks

Thanks for bringing these tires to the US
you'll be getting some calls from the Midwest area, lol I went to big race in
Nashville with Adam drake and such and broke in the final but not after mounting
a charge to fourth..
the tires were HOOKED up I was the only car there to triple double a section and
it was due to having traction that everyone was fighting for.. the Exagon tires
were the ticket, cant wait for the ultra soft for the tracks out here in OH.
Thanks again

EXP30 on Carpet:
The Sweep tires on our 008 were considerably better than the ˇ°SPECˇ± tires on
the T3, Randy was able to make it around the track and actually started to pick
up the pace.
The other ˇ°SPECˇ± tires were spinning out and couldn't handle at our local
track,
The track is completely un-drivable for 13.5 racing with the "SPEC" tire, Randy
had a 4.5 in the 008, In the T3, he was only half throttle for the entire track.

on Asphalt outdoor:
The tires felt great on the track. I was in the mid to high nineteens for the
first time in practice. Previous best in practice was a low 20s. I ran a set of
SJR 36R premounts which are Sorex tires on Jaco wheels. I was at my low 20s
level but no 19s. I tried a set of Sorex 40 premounts on Jaco wheels and was in
the low 20's again.

EXP30 on Asphalt Indoor:
I ran the Sweep 30 exp. My car right off the bat hit 13.2 and I was still
breaking in tires. My car was more stable and carrying more corner speed!!!

Last Sunday took place in Zaragoza, the 1st event of the Aragon Regional
Championship
in the North-East of Spain, Rafa Albar from Sweep Racing Spain took the 2nd
place only 6seconds.
I chose the Star Trek tires for the final as the track conditions were not the
best onesˇ¦
An small bumpy short track combined with a very cold and windy day forced us
to give our best, the tires were perfect during the mains and the final, I took
TQ
and 2nd place passing 6seconds after 99 laps fighting. We are testing tires for
the upcoming National Series

The performance of Star Trek in ATV circuit are incredible, I obtain the victory
and the second fasted lap on the track, the new V2 wheel are 0.4s faster than
standard one, we let some tires for free at some drivers and all were impressed
about the performance of this tires"

Sweep Racing is a hard working company, with possibilities to improve their
actual products. They have new ideas and are motivated to make their tires
better and better. The company values the drivers input and the quality of all
the products is good. I am happy to be joining the team.

EXP30 on Carpet:
I tested the tires yesterday and I think they are pretty good. I ran them for 5
runs against guys running new sets of SJR's. I was right there with the other 2
cars. The glue job held up well and the tire was consistent throughout the run.
The wear seems good as well.
I would recommend people trying this tire. I will be buying another set.

Hi John, Thanks.
I did try the tires that you sent, the ones that I ran were 36's.
I ran them at Trackside on carpet, they were Really good. I could only think of
what 30's would do. but the wear was good and they hooked up really really well.

OKAY--- I'm a BELIEVER!
I used your36 wht on the TQ Carpet track with my Stock Cyclone S car Silver
springs all around and 2 degrees of camber, and the car was PERFECT!!
Ran a 21.5 with Tekin RS--it was half a second per a lap quicker than the 17.5
cars the same day with other tires!!
The tires were VERY hooked up without creating any drag, car was very quick and
consistent with NO sauce on the tires.
I'll be heading to Westcoast Tuesday night to see how the 30 yellow's work on
the asphalt!!
Thanks--- these babies ROCK!!! |
